Catherine Osborn - Principal
Catherine commenced her classical ballet training at the age of four. She has trained in both the Royal Academy of Dance and British Ballet Organisation ballet syllabi. She has also trained in flamenco and classical Spanish dance and has completed both the Spanish Dance Institute and Spanish Dance Society Syllabi.
Catherine holds the teaching qualifications of an Associate Teacher of the British Ballet Organisation and an Instructor de Baile of the Spanish Dance Society. Catherine’s dance career spans over 20 years, and she has performed with various companies, including WA Youth Ballet, Aire, Primavera and Perth City Ballet. Catherine co-founded Classical Dance Studio (then Dance Network) whilst studying arts and law and the University of Western Australia. She has a Bachelor of Arts with honours and a Bachelor of Laws. In addition to her teaching and dancing, Catherine is a solicitor specialising in family law and a consultant at the law firm O’Sullivan Davies. She is currently President of Ausdance WA and a board member of AWESOME Art Australia Ltd.
Catherine’s passion is teaching students the discipline and artistry of dance in an environment that fosters self-esteem and confidence.
